red, bright red

finally had an excuse to wear my silly little thin red cardigan- the buttons were absolute hell of earth to fumble my way through closing, but the blueish sheen to them is very nice- an interesting choice of button for the garment considering its lke bright christmas/holly red, which makes it a good point that i didn't opt to wear my dark green joggers, since then id look like a poinsetta

quxnet was yapping about journalling in a thread earlier- one of my favourite topics. my heart will always be with analog journal methods, there's nothing i love more than good quality paper and a buttery fountain pen nib gliding over the paper- (smaller widths make it much more feasible to use feather prone or super wet inks in a reasonable manner, and the joy of having scented ink is worth a bit of fussiness in terms of nib selection, since i primarily write with extra-fine nibs as is) is really unparalelled. but there is something fun abut having a visible digital record too :-) and during low spoon episodes or flares, sometimes it is easier to just tak my little paws against a keyboard, versus struggling to use a pen

the floral jeans were very cute but i'm not really sure if they were a good fit for the weather. DID manage to haul ass to class just in time for the presentation on which i was a panelist though, yippee yay. going to call zeke afterwards and preoccupy my hands mindlessly with the acrylic scarf i'm throwing together using the leftovers from the minimeow's sweater, not sure if i'll use it as a random backup gift for someone or toss it on top of his as part of a matching set. we will see... there might even be enough yarn left over in the big scoop of love from lion post using it for the sleeves to make TWO! since most people don't love a super long scarf anyway. full of sketti and coffee :3

i took a peek at the bashblog / bb thing they have on here (since i thought more people might be using it, as compared to the sort of empty wasteland that is the feels crew... kind of sad! i love reading through other people's entries :<) but it seems a bit finicky and complicated for me. a little scary with the notif about not manually editing files, as someone who often makes mistakes or thinks of something to add after the fact, so i suppose i might stick with feels for the time being

very happy about having finished the sweater last night though. like tennish more hours? didn't document it well, and it was on and off because i wsa busy solving puzzles like a fiend with zeke at some points, i love him very much for indulging me in a childhood fascination with jigsaw puzzles :p: :3

hmmm. maybe i'll see if quxnet has a blogsharing post area or something. the permalink feature built into feels is nice, though i'll probably back up entries into my own personal neocities too... just kind of annoying to hand code the html wrappers and all that jazz for paragraphs, haha

a busy weekend

zeke and i have been playing a lot of fun puzzles on jiggie.fun :-) i forgot how much i love puzzles. i used to spend hours with digital jigsaws on gaia.online, back in the day

i've mostly been crocheting like a mad man to try to finish off the majority of my christmas gifts. finished most of the sweater, sans 2/3 of an arm and sewing in the minimal ends (thankfully, the huge ball of yarn worked out nicely) and a bit of one of the scarves, which will be a handier thing to carry onto campus)

did some laundry and scrubbed the grout aggressively in the shower because it's my go to when i need to decompress from stress.

an early wake up tomorrow, but there's matcha in the fridge for tomorrow, and sketti made in bulk for breakfast and lunch, delicious. so much foccacia bread on the table this weekend! yum. had some with the last bits of the japanese curry, and it was super indulgent and good

hello, world!

having a blast fiddling around with my home page and futzing around with the feels engine. maybe i'll check out some of the more social features on here later! :3

today i've been taking it relatively easy, and i brought along some lovely wool (patons classic, which is 100% wool and apparently includes a bit of merino in the blend, and then some loops and threads superwash merino) to work on, alongside some pencil crayons and a small notebook in case i get bored

snacking on some chicago mix popcorn and plonking away on the keys of my laptop. no better time to be had :-) also enjoying a bit of a coffee i brought along in my little pink and purple thermos. happy to be a part of the club! after a bit of looking things up and muddling through now unfamiliar commands, i think i'm using micro for my default editor for things, since it's a bit of a gentler adjustment with supporting the mouse for navigation and all of the rest. it'll be fun to read over other people's entries too, i think- and i look forward to accumulating a little pile of daily entries myself. something extra fun about typing in the terminal, i think. very technomancer kittywizard core, haha.
