A very quick, first page of results search didn't show any writing systems that work bottom to top. Yet that's how most web pages with regular, new content work, if you want to read chronologically.<p>Actually, it's worse than that because you have to scroll to the bottom, read the oldest thing top to bottom and then scroll back up past what you just read to get to the next item. This is the blog or article experience. Social media feeds want you to just scroll back in time. Reading in reverse chronological order. If you are diligent and the app or web page doesn't mess with you too much you can read chronologically by scrolling back to the top of the page. Since all the content is shorter this doesn't involve as much back and forth scrolling.<p>That's why the new stuff is at the bottom.<p>At least for now.<p>But then new-stuff-at-the-bottom is terrible too because if you come back to this page you have to scroll past everything you've already read.<p>I can come up with solutions to these problems. I am sure you can too.
